This year's Expo West 2008, the Global Business Program provided a wealth of current information, latest trends and top notched advice on topics including legal and regulatory, markets and marketing, channels of distribution, public relations and public education, and much more. One highlight was a consulting corps of leading marketers, regulatory experts and distribution wizards. Participants were encouraged to bring their products, concepts and ideas to discuss with the pros.

SNP is working with natural products buyers, trade associations and media to create market-driven opportunities for sustainably produced natural products of all kinds. New Hope Natural Media, our partner in this venture, is the producer of the two major trade shows in this industry, with attendence over 40,000 and around 3,000 booths at Expo West in Anaheim (www.expowest.com) and slightly smaller numbers for Expo East in Baltimore (www.expoeast.com). New Hope also publishes some of the major trade and consumer magazines in the industry.

In partnership with NHNM, we created the Global Business Program (GBP) to provide training and tools for new and existing international visitors to Natural Product Expo and the North American Industry. Enrollment in the GBP this year was $495 and just $95 for Expo exhibitors.

Our goal, and that of NHNM is to help the industry and its suppliers in improving the quality, consistency, availability and the sustainability of natural products.

Some of the most dynamic companies within the natural products industries are joining with us in the recognition that sustainability is a critical factor in their continued success, and addresses the increasing recognition by consumers of the importance of sustainability in the products they buy.

The Global Business Program has as its goal enterprise development around the world, whether or not sustainability is a key feature of the companies it serves.
